about
'Bunker Hill' was named after the famous battle fought on June 17th 1775, during the Revolutionary War (1775-83) in Massachusetts, U.S.A. I got The Gooseberry Bush from the playing of Ted Furey, Finbar Furey's father.

Brilliant tunes, played brilliantly. Great recording too - well worth listening with headphones to take advantage of the stereo fun.

Such a brilliant album. Sparkling, crystal clear play and the musicians are obviously in a perfect musical relationship with each other. Their efforts are pure pleasure to listen to. Buy it! monty1957

Absolutely sensational - love the generally low-end tones and planxty-esque set up, but most of all the incredible energy of it! Wish more instrumental trad was like this, love the fact that it's recorded live too. Prangman
